Wet materials are continuously fed from the feeder to the first layer of drying tray on the upper part of the dryer, and the rake arm with rake leaves rotates to make the rake arm rotate, so that the rake leaves continuously turn over the material. The material flows over the surface of the drying tray along the exponential spiral, the material on the small drying tray is moved to the outer edge, and falls to the outer edge of the large drying tray below, on the large drying tray, the material moves inward and falls from the middle. The material mouth falls into the following layer of small drying trays. The large and small drying trays are arranged alternately up and down, so that the material can flow through the entire dryer continuously. A heating medium is introduced into the hollow drying pan, and the heating medium is in the form of saturated steam, hot water and heat-conducting oil. The heating medium enters from one end of the drying pan and is led out from the other end. The dried material falls from the last layer of drying tray to the bottom layer of the shell, and then is moved by the rakes to the discharge port for discharge. Moisture escapes from the material and is discharged from the moisture outlet on the top cover, and the moisture in the vacuum type disc dryer is discharged from the Vacuum Pump port on the top cover. The dry material discharged from the bottom layer can be packed directly. By adding auxiliary machines such as fin heater, solvent recovery condenser, bag filter, dry material back-mixing mechanism, induced draft fan, etc., its drying production capacity can be improved, and drying paste and heat-sensitive materials can be easily recovered. Solvent, and can carry out pyrolysis and reaction operations.
Technical characteristics of PLG series disc continuous dryer
(1) Drying tray
◎Design pressure: generally 0.4MPa, the maximum can reach 1.6MPa.
◎Maximum working pressure: generally ≤0.4MPa, maximum can reach 1.6MPa.
◎Heating medium: steam, hot water, heat transfer oil, hot water heating when the drying temperature is 100℃, ≤0.4MPa saturated steam or superheated steam when the temperature is 100℃～150℃, and heat transfer oil when the temperature is 150℃～320℃ Heating, when the temperature is more than 320℃, it can be heated by electricity, heat transfer oil, molten salt, etc.
(2) Material conveying system
◎ Spindle speed: 1 to 10 rpm, electromagnetic or variable frequency stepless speed regulation.
◎Rake arms: There are 2 to 8 rake arms fixed on the main shaft on each layer of drying tray.
◎Rake blade: articulated on the rake arm, it can float up and down with the disc to keep contact, and there are various forms.
◎Rolling: For materials that are easy to agglomerate and need to be pulverized, adding rolling in appropriate positions can strengthen the heat transfer and drying process.
(3) The shell has three types of normal pressure, airtight and vacuum
◎Normal pressure type: Cylinder or octagonal prism type, there are two kinds of structures: integral and split. The main pipeline for the inlet and outlet of the heating medium can be inside the casing or outside the casing.
◎Airtight type: cylindrical shell, can withstand 5Kpa internal pressure, the main pipeline of heating medium inlet and outlet can be inside the shell or outside the shell.
◎Vacuum type: cylindrical shell, the design pressure is 0.1Mpa, and the main pipeline for the inlet and outlet of the heating medium is in the shell.
(4) Air heater
Generally used in the case of large evaporation to enhance drying efficiency.

*As the dryer is in a whole for delivery, it is quite easy to install and fix at site only by hoisting.
*As drying plates being arranged by layers and installed vertically, it takes a small occupying area though drying area is large.ath, and will then be moved inward and drop down from its central hole to the small drying plate on the next layer. Both small and large drying plates are arranged alternately so as materials can go through the whole dryer continuously. The heating media, which could be saturated steam, hot water or thermal oil, will be led into hollow drying plates from one end to other end of the dryer. The dried product will drop from the last layer of the drying plate to the bottom layer of the smell body, and will be moved by harrows to the discharge port. The moisture exhausts from materials and will be removed from the moist discharge port on the top cover, or sucked out by the vacuum pump on the top cover for vacuum-type plate dryer.
