Single screw pumps, Progressive Cavity Pump are developed from positive displacement pumps.

Because of special geometry lengthy of the rotary and stator, there are two independent sealing space. When fluid flows axially and evenly, the speed is low inside and the sealing space remains same and the pressure more stable.
